DOWNERS GROVE, IL – Chemring Energetic Devices (CED), a world leader in the design, development, and manufacture of energetic and electro-mechanical devices and systems for aerospace and defense industries, has placed Shawn Milam-Shaffer as its new Human Resources Business Partner. TCG Managing Partner, Tobin Anselmi and Recruiting Director, Ramey Lynch, led and placed the critical HR search.

Shawn Milan-Shaffer will provide HR support and consultation to the Business Unit. She will use working knowledge of the business to provide HR consultation and guidance to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and laws, and company policies and practices. Shawn will partner directly with department managers to execute HR strategies in alignment with business objectives and key initiatives.
Shawn Milam-Shaffer brings over two decades of HR leadership experience to her new role. With a strong foundation in employee relations, organizational development, and HR strategy, Shawn has successfully supported both global and domestic workforces across manufacturing, packaging, and performance nutrition sectors. She is known for building trusted relationships across business functions and driving HR initiatives that support long-term growth, talent development, and employee engagement. Her background includes hands-on leadership of key HR operations such as policy development, compliance, payroll, and training, as well as experience navigating M&A, workforce restructuring, and strategic workforce planning. Shawn’s collaborative approach and passion for creating inclusive, high-performing environments make her a strong partner to business leaders and a valuable addition to the HR team.
