Biography

Steve Buckhout joined The Christopher Group in January 2025 as an Independent Executive Search Consultant. Steve’s career spans over 30 years leadership experience in Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, Compensation, HR Analytics as well as Director of Operations and Regional Leadership roles across multiple industries. His 30 years of broad leadership and people development enables him to reflect and reason as a hiring manager, placing top talent into diverse roles, spanning multiple divisions and business types. He is driven by his strong passion for stellar candidate and client experiences, and this exemplifies his focus and delivery of White Glove Service.

Prior to joining TCG, Steve served as Head of Talent Acquisition at Concentrix supporting North America and the Philippines, streamlining processes and leading the recruitment team in filling positions in Operations, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Human Resources from front line Leaders to Senior VP roles. Through Steve’s experience he has led recruitment from small companies to Fortune 25’s serving organizations such as Concentrix, Bonaventure Realty and Construction, Walgreens, PetSmart, Macy’s, Holiday Inn, Gap Inc. and more. He specializes in sourcing exceptional career talent in HR, Supply Chain/Logistics, Retail (Brick and Mortar plus E-Commerce), Hospitality, Sales, Construction and Marketing. Through collaborative efforts he has assisted companies in receiving multiple awards including Best Advance in Talent Acquisition Excellence, Top Diversity Recruitment, Global Inspiring Workplace, Star TA Performance Award, and Game Changer of the Year (TA Project Management).

Steve lives in the Hudson Valley Region of New York and has resided across the East Coast from Connecticut to Florida. Steve is married to his wife Jean Marie for 30 years. Jean Marie is Head Bookkeeper for a Top CPA firm. They have one daughter, Jennifer, who is a Doctor of Physical Therapy at a world renown Children’s Hospital. Additionally, they are proud pet parents of two rescue dogs, brother and sister, Dunkin and Jo-Jo (coffee themed). When Steve isn’t’ focused on family or work you will find him reading anything and everything… from Quantum Mechanics to the Bible to spy novels. He is an avid soccer FANATIC and still actively plays, coaches and refs matches.
