Biography

Some of the most valuable and sought-after qualities in a recruiter cannot be taught; they can only be acquired and developed over time. With more than 25 years of experience in recruiting and business development, including owning and operating her own recruiting firm, Great People, Molly Garvey’s industry insight and knowledge are unparalleled in her field, making her a dynamo recruiting professional.

Prior to recruiting, Molly had an eclectic career, spending time in both the entertainment and fashion industries. Wanting to use her professional life as a way to help others, she later began her recruiting career with Apple One where she spent seven years as a recruiter. During her tenure, she won the Rookie of the Year Award for full-time placement and was consistently one of the top billers in the full-time placement division. Molly then decided to open her own recruiting firm which she successfully ran for seven years, while managing a staff of up to seven people and running a full desk.

After taking time off to raise her daughter, Isabella, who is adopted from China, Molly returned to the workforce. In 2014. She joined Lucas Group as a Senior Executive Search Consultant in the Human Resources division of the firm and was promoted to Executive Senior Partner. Molly quickly made her mark at the company, earning President’s Club, Diamond Club and Platinum Elite for consecutive years as well as being named the MVP for Cross-selling in 2016. She sat on the CEO’s round table. Lucas Group was acquired by Korn Ferry and after a few years with Korn Ferry, Molly joined Howard-Sloan as VP of HR Search in 2023. In 2025 Molly joined TCG as an Independent Consultant. TCG has given her the opportunity for some much needed work life balance as she pursues new interests like fusing glass, yoga and pickleball.

In her role, Molly uses her impeccable relationship-building skills to find transcendent talent for her clients and ideal opportunities for her candidates. Her passion for helping others improve their businesses and enhance their careers allows her to make strategic, long-term placements and ensures she always has the best interests of both parties in mind. Molly is committed to finding the right match, and her tenacious personality sees that she consistently has a track record of success.

Dedicated to bettering her life and her community, Molly is involved in several nonprofit organizations including One Sky and Food on Foot. In her free time, she enjoys traveling as much as possible, oil painting, playing with her cat – Harvey Garvey, and taking walks with her two standard poodles, Bodhi and Ziggy.
