SOUTH SIOUX CITY, NE – Great West Casualty Company, one of America’s largest insurers of trucking companies, has placed Sarah Peck as their new Manager of Talent Acquisition. Managing Partner, Ayla Maloney, and Recruiting Director, Carrie Longmire led and placed the critical HR search.
“We are thrilled for the Great West Casualty team. Working with Brian Weatherwax again (Head of HR placed by TCG a couple of years ago) was amazing, and getting a fresh peek into all they’ve accomplished to date since we’ve last worked with them was so impressive. Now it’s TA’s turn! Sarah is going to help take this department and its team to a whole other level. Her enthusiasm is contagious and her knowledge of the function, market, and recruiting approach is going to make Great West Casualty incredibly competitive in the talent arena. It’s going to be great to see what the next few years have in store,” Ayla Maloney shared.
As the Talent Acquisition Manager, Sarah will be responsible for developing and implementing the recruitment strategy, as well as managing the delivery of Talent Acquisition services for the organization. She will report to the VP of Human Resources. She will be crucial for strategic leadership in mentoring and coaching a team of recruiters, building and maintaining senior-level business relationships, and leading initiatives to support the growth and advancement of the Talent Acquisition model within the organization. Additionally, Sarah will manage a team of 5 professionals and work closely with key stakeholders to gain a deep understanding of the organization’s business strategies.
“I’m excited to be joining Great West Casualty Company during this time of rapid growth. Leading the Talent Acquisition team to hire the best and brightest, with an emphasis on diversity, is a wonderful opportunity, well-matched to my niche skill set.
Carrie and Ayla of The Christopher Group provided support every step of the hiring journey, from initially matching my needs to that of GWCC, to ensuring my husband and I were prepared for travel during a snowstorm. I always felt they were considerate of my spouse’s opinions and experience as well as my own, which was a broad departure from my experience with other agencies. I owe Carrie and Ayla a heartfelt thank you for orchestrating this match made in Heaven,” Sarah shared.
Sarah is a strategic and innovative talent acquisition executive who excels in translating company objectives into people strategies that support growth, drive profit, and scale rapidly. She has over 7 years of experience in Talent Acquisition, with a focus on recruiting, team management, and building strong relationships with organization leaders. She is known for her expertise in candidate sourcing, process improvement, and creating a positive candidate experience. Sarah is also passionate about promoting diversity and inclusion in the hiring process and has a track record of success in building strong, high-performing teams.
