WAVERLY, WEST VIRGINIA – IVS Group Inc., a trusted source in the industrial services and infrastructure-related construction industries, has placed Jim Carpenter as their new Head of HR. Managing Partner, Tobin Anselmi and Recruiting Director, Morgan Booker, led and placed the key HR search.

As the Head of HR, Jim will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing the administrative functions of the organization. He will oversee the recruitment, interviewing, and hiring processes for new staff, consult with top executives on strategic planning, and act as a bridge between management and employees. He will provide HR leadership by implementing and managing corporate-wide programs related to talent acquisition, performance management, succession planning, and career development. He will also work to foster a collaborative culture, establish trust with the leadership team, and serve as the visible face of HR to all employees. As the Head of HR, Jim is in charge of addressing and advising management and the executive team on employee relations and discipline matters. He will assess current HR processes and structure and develop a 3-5-year strategy roadmap, identifying and addressing immediate opportunities for improvement. Additionally, Jim will assist in the management of the ESOP program and provide on-going education on the ESOP to the employee base.

Jim Carpenter is a seasoned Human Resources and Operations Professional with over 25 years of experience. Throughout his career, he has held various positions where he successfully managed a wide range of responsibilities, including developing and overseeing benefits programs, conducting performance management and appraisals, handling internal and external employee recruitment and retention, resolving conflicts, managing employee relations, negotiating contracts, and implementing workforce planning. Jim is well-versed in policy and procedure development and has a proven track record of implementing creative organizational development and training strategies across diverse companies. His expertise extends to functioning in competitive environments, where he has developed innovative solutions to business challenges and implemented both revenue-enhancing and cost-cutting programs. With advanced knowledge of Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles, Jim brings a wealth of experience in company management, employee relations and development.
