SAN FRANCISCO, CA – Kiva, the world’s first online lending platform, has selected The Christopher Group to lead their Vice President of People & Places search. Managing Director, Nat Schiffer, and Managing Partner, Pam Noble are leading the search.
Kiva is looking for a highly qualified HR leader who will report directly to the CEO. As a member of Kiva’s executive leadership team, this person will be responsible for the People function (including Recruiting, DEI, People Ops, and People Business Partners) as well as the Facilities function that together encompass the entire employee lifecycle. A successful candidate will drive the vision and strategy of the People & Places team along with all related implementation, ensuring Kivans have all they need to deliver on our goals, in service of their mission and long-term vision.
“I am embarrassed to say that I was ignorant to the true mission and impact of Kiva,” said Nat Schiffer. “Kiva envisions a financially inclusive world where all people can impact the lives of underserved communities and unbanked. Kiva does this by crowdfunding loans and unlocking capital for the underserved, improving the quality and cost of financial services, and addressing the underlying barriers to financial access around the world. Through Kiva’s work, students can pay for tuition, women can start businesses, farmers are able to invest in equipment and families can afford needed emergency care and so much more. I look forward to working with Chris Tsakalakis, who is a superstar, and his team to help them find a Human Capital leader that will help them achieve even greater and farther reaching impact.”
