Biography
Leveraging his 30+ years in the technology sector, Terry Kahler founded his executive coaching practice shortly after retiring from Dell in 2012. Since then, he has helped many individuals and organizations around the world increase their effectiveness through his structured, practical, data-driven style. His clients include leaders of all levels and roles of Fortune 500 companies, small and medium businesses, and non-profit organizations like:

His three-decade-long technology journey began at MicroAge Computers during the early years of the personal computer industry. There, he led many functions including sales, Unix engineering, software development, IT, services, support, distribution, and general management.
After a short time leading the Strategic Alliances organization at DecisionOne, Inc., he was recruited to join Dell’s leadership team to lead the build-out of the sales and support infrastructure for Dell’s Latin America region. In 2001, he became the SVP & General Manager of Dell’s Mercosur region and led the organization to profitable growth. Following that assignment, Terry led the LATAM Consumer, Small and Medium Business organization to multiple years of triple-digit profitable growth. He also led the build-out of Dell’s Americas Call Centers globally saving the company millions in cost.
He was also called upon to start and lead the Global Commercial Business Operations organization with a focus on reducing support costs, improving customer experience, and increasing sales effectiveness. Prior to his retirement from Dell, Terry started the Strategic Online Programs Office for all of Dell’s online properties. In addition to these roles, Terry served as the chair of Dell’s Latino Connections, an employee resource group focused on building Latino leaders.
Giving back to others and to his community is important to Terry. He has committed to donating portions of his time and coaching income to assist Hispanic communities in North America. In addition, he gives back by guest lecturing at the University of Texas on International Business and Intercultural Management. He also authors articles and podcasts on leadership and personal development posted for free on his website.
He has accumulated certifications in Life Coaching (ICF), Executive Coaching (Marshall Goldsmith) and is a certified assessment practitioner (Hogan & MBTI).
