REMOTE – Antech, one of the largest networks of clinical laboratories in the United States, has selected The Christopher Group to lead their Vice President of People and Organization search. Managing Director, Nat Schiffer and Managing Partner, Jeff Wilbanks are leading the critical executive search.
“Antech has a very ambitious agenda ahead of it which includes both business line expansion (new products) and global expansion into Europe,” said Nat Schiffer. “While Antech was formally part of VCA Animal Hospitals it is now a division of Mars Veterinary Health and this role will be highly autonomous within that framework and require the new HR leader to possess many of the skills required by a start-up/closely held company. This role will stretch the leader in talent acquisition and management, organizational development and transformation, and the change management skills required to support the same.”
Reporting to Antech’s President and as a member of the Antech Leadership Team, this person will have responsibility for leading the people and organization activities across the company. The role will provide leadership, vision, and strategic planning for people and organization functions and initiatives. The role will be responsible for all areas in Human Resources: Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Total Rewards (compensation and benefits), Strategic Business Partnering, Employee Relations, Labor Relations, Engagement, Culture, and Operational Effectiveness.
Antech is undergoing an exciting transformation, building on its entrepreneurial history, while developing critical building blocks of future capabilities. The P&O VP has a unique opportunity to lead the journey of transforming the P&O function in Antech and shape the future of veterinary diagnostics care as part of the Antech leadership team, leveraging the broader Mars Veterinary Health Ecosystem as well as the fast-paced, growth strengths of Antech. This person must be able to work both operationally and strategically, quickly identify what’s needed, define pragmatic solutions and mobilize teams to make it happen.

Interested in this opportunity. 23 year HR leader.
Good afternoon,
I am intrigued by this position. I have over 20 years of progressive HR Generalist experience on both a strategic and tactical level. I currently reside in Chicago, Illinois and am planning on moving to Tampa, Florida in 2022. As I understand, this role is remote.
To provide you a deeper dive into by background, I have specifically managed employee relations, performance management implementation, full-cycle talent acquisitions, benefits and payroll, and delivered on HR metrics/reporting. I am passionate about improving the employee experience, exploring new approaches to further enrich employees well-being and overall culture, expand leadership practices, review and implement wage analyses/ compensation practices, and benchmarking industry information as well as full cycle talent management and recruitment strategy to identify retention and attrition trend.
In my charter I have:
Developed and implemented leadership training series to improve management fundamentals and associate engagement.
Worked with Stakeholders and the C-Suite to develop and implement a performance management platform that conformed to a high touch more communicative approach with competency pillars.
Strategically reviewed the current and future needs of the employee population for the business and managed through a RIF, as well as instituted a cost savings plan retaining positions and knowledge management through effective organizational change.
Restructured the HR Team to improve the full-cycle employee experience from initial-contact to exit.
Implemented a recruitment strategy to reform the hiring and interviewing techniques, leverage geographic trends, wage structure, and referral programs as well as remove temporary-direct staffing to save the company $1.5MM and reduce attrition rate significantly.
Conducted RFPs to update and overhaul a full benefit program to meet industry standards and retain employees and entice new hires while being cost efficient and work through a self-funded program.
Updated payroll processes, implemented HRIS systems and self-service platforms, handled basic FMLA, EEOC and Policy updates as well as worked through reduction of force (RIF) downsizing companies and organizational planning.
Am a versed trainer and have also created training. I can always create a Policy Training, Workers Comp, New Hire, Onboarding or Leadership Training, however I do source and network often.
Ability to write policy and collaborate with Legal. I am a huge proponent of HR as a business partner.
Again I hope I have provided a bit more detail.
Thank you for your consideration.
Best.

I am interested in learning more about this role. My phone number is 224-856-8209.
This company looks amazing. If this role is still open I’d like to be considered. My background includes large distributed leadership in a retail model, biotech and usda regulated manufacturing and R&D support of PHD scientists. I believe this would translate well into the leadership needed at Antech
